This was an extension of Ray Foulk's idea to create an exhibit/event about Richard Buckminster-Fuller's World Game - a 'game' about “How to make the world work, for 100% of humanity, in the shortest possible time, through spontaneous cooperation, without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone.” (Buckminster Fuller Institute)

Now this is kind of parallel to the aims of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation:

"The Ellen MacArthur Foundation's primary aim is to accelerate the global transition from a linear "take-make-waste" economy to a circular economy, characterized by three core principles: eliminating waste and pollution, circulating products and materials at their highest value, and regenerating nature. The Foundation achieves this by promoting circular economy principles through its global network of businesses, governments, and innovators, developing research and analysis, creating educational programs, and developing digital tools. "(Ellen MacArthur Foundation)

So your task in this World Game project is to illustrate the ideas of Buckminster Fuller and Ellen MacArthur - how to create first a Wightopia then a sustainable eco-centric economic system... that will save the world - or at least point us in the right direction. We ideally want optimistic stories, songs, plays and narratives about how golden our future could be - how we can solve climate-change, save the world's ecology, change the capitalist agenda, give us all a new range of hopeful utopian tales we can adopt.

For example you could create an animation that shows the twice-a-day tidal-flow around the island and in the Southampton Water/Solent Area - and show how much 'free sustainable energy' could be harnessed from tidal energy tools like tidal-barriers, bouys, hydrofoils, propellors, hydro-towers etc. The island could be a major energy exporter and contributor to UK energy - illustrate the wide range of research on this subject!
